The reason I ask this, guys is because some people have expressed concern with being Recruit rank. Sadly, World of Tanks does not have a very robust ranking system. I can't name them, I can't decide what each rank can do, and I can't add more ranks. So the only rank I'd really be able to promote people to is Soldier. Everything else is an officer, and I'm strictly basing that off these criteria: - Online frequency (I need people who can help run the show when I'm not around)
- Willingness to organize events (Skirmishes, tournaments, and platoons - if someone is looking for a platoon and having trouble, an officer should be able to nudge others in that person's direction)
- Ensuring clan members are in the main channel when they're online
- Helping to spread the word on important news announcements (spamming the important forum link, etc)
So this poll only refers to promotion to Soldier. Unfortunately, Soldier doesn't really DO anything. All it does is enable people to see chip movements on the clan wars map... and considering a lot of you probably don't know what that means, I hope you can understand why I haven't been promoting people :3 However, I want to make people happy! And Recruit isn't the most flattering of names one can have, even though there's really no difference. But, one thing I want to make very clear: If FURHQ, FURST, and FURRD eventually start doing clan wars too, only people who participate in Clan Wars will be Soldier rank. So if I promote people now, and in the distant future we start doing clan wars, there might be some demotions. This won't be based on a person's skill or anything like that, just simply what tanks they have. Anyway, please let me know what you guys think! ^.^

If it is alright with you Lore, that I share my thoughts?
When I was in WolfPack2 [WFPK2] they set to a minimum of 50 days in clan and the max 85+ days in clan to become Soldier. (Note: Not set in stone, they change it over and over to set certain players) Another was depending on tier of tanks. Anything from a tier 1-4 was recruit or in my case pup. Tiers 5+ were made to soldiers to build the clan for the need of replacements. But they always looked for tiers 9 & 10. The players with 9 & 10 that can spare their time for clan wars would be the dedicated soldiers.
I hope you find this helpful, AmericanWolf016

I don't know if the demotions are necessary, honestly, but I can't see if there's anything about 'Soldier' that'd be fitting, or if you can insert something.

As it is now, its just a title, there is no "authority" of soldier over recruit. I think as long as people understand that they are no less important just because it says "recruit" in their service record then there's really no need to promote someone unless the need arises.
Despite my statement, I still voted for "Yes, based on activity".

Myself and 2 other FURRD clan members were the ones that brought this to Lore's attention, so I figure I should give my opinion as well.
The main reason why we asked for another rank besides recruit, is that it feels demeaning to be labelled as a recruit all of ones WoT career. I hadn't realized (not having played WoT for very long or ever organizing a clan) that the ranks were a fixed thing. I figured it was the clan Commander that named, set, etc ... the different ranks (as that is the experience I've had in every other game I've played up until this point).
Anyway, I'm getting side tracked. The folks I was speaking with felt, as I said, some what demeaned by being called a recruit, versus having an actual named rank. If there is no limit on how many soldiers there are in a clan, and the only real difference is seeing the movement of clans in clan wars, then would it really be so bad to promote members to those ranks?
At this time and for many more months, I don't see FURRD (at the very least) being anywhere close to having a solid, organized CW team, though I'm sure everything can change at the drop of a hat if it were wanted or needed. (As, again, I'm not entirely sure how Clan Wars work).
Ultimately, if it really doesn't work for the clans to do this, then I suppose we can just suck it up and move on. In the long run it won't change all that much, other then how some members feel about themselves and their position within the clans.
I wanted to add that I think a combination of all choices should be used in determining when to promote a member. Activity is important, what's the point of promoting someone that has been in the clan for 2 months but hasn't been seen or heard from since they joined (or but once or twice). The combination of having been in the clan for X amount of time and having them actively contributing to the clans success, maybe set it at a minimum of 1,000 battles fought so you know they are serious about working towards a goal?
I know this excludes myself, at the moment, as I've only been here a month (though it feels like I've known this group all my life ... says something about how welcome I've been made to feel by everyone).

The reason I ask this, guys is because some people have expressed concern with being Recruit rank. Heck, I don't even know what rank I am, lmao! xD Is it listed somewhere, or does it go: FUR-E > FURHQ > FURST > FURRD (from first to last?) I've been playing tier 8-10 for a while, and I've yet to see another player with a higher "Steel Wall:Games Played" ratio than mine (which I guess is my apparent playstyle) ... but I've become partial to this purple paw-mark, and couldn't see myself leaving RD regardless of rank or CW participation. </3 It's a shame it isn't more active~

Sadly, if CW efforts aren't consolidated, they end in failure and frustration for the people that try to participate. There are several people in FURRD who have the tier requirements, but if they can't commit the time needed to CW, then there's going to be no point in forming CW teams.
