After a lot of talking and work behind the scenes, we're finally opening up donations for FURHQ.com! Our own website, our own pawprint on the interwebs, a place for us to solidify our place within the fandom, and gamerdom alike!
What sort of features can you expect from our website?
Everything you'd want in a clan and a furry community!
[/li][li] Forums:[/b] Pretty much what we have now, but you can post whatever you like - no more limitations on yiffing or erotic RPs!
[/li][li] Gallery:[/b] We'll be able to post our art, in a very similar fashion to FurAffinity! New submissions will be featured on the front page.
[/li][li] Calendar:[/b] An interactive calendar that people can post their own events on. If you're logged into your account, you can select a date, and create an event that people can sign up for!

Things are in the very, VERY early stages right now, but you wanna get an idea of what the site will look like? Here ya go!!!
What will this cost us?
We want our site to be professional, well-made, and full of awesome features! I've gotten a good friend IRL, fellow furry and clan mate, to make the site for us. He has experience with this sort of thing in the past, and has done so for other groups.
He's given me a price of 400 dollars.
I know, it's a lot of money, but he's told me it's a substantial discount, and I believe him. He was willing to do this for free at first, but I insisted on paying him. I have no reason to think he's inflating the price beyond the fact that he's my friend, and he's doing an awesome job.
But, if any of you need further proof, here's a conversation I had with another RL friend of mine who works in the web commerce industry.

Here's another way to look at it. Minimum wage where the site developer and I live is ~$10/hour. 400 bucks is equivalent to 40 hours of work. I don't think anyone could expect a site like the one we're looking for to be made within that time. So I feel $400 is an incredible bargain :3
How do I help?
Here's where all of you come in! $400 is an awesome deal, but it's still a monumental amount of money. I'm going to need as many people as possible to chip in on this as possible. If you can't send money, you can still be a huge help by spreading the word about this donation drive!!! Not everyone will see my posts about it, and the more people who see this, the more we can get this show rolling!
ANY amount of money is a huge help. 5 dollars, 10 dollars, 100 dollars (please don't donate that much!

Your name will go on a special Founder's section of the site, and you'll receive a Founder's status on the new forums. And you'll have this Pikachu's undying love! :3 (who am I kidding, I love you all anyway! <3)

I received these neat little figures from Wargaming. A benefit of working directly with WGNA staff and some of the top clan commanders in the game, is I sometimes am offered cool little freebies.

I will draw 3 names. The first person drawn will get first pick of them, the second person will get next pick, and so on. I only have 3 of these, so it'll be a rare thing among our clan! :3

This tier II captured French tank is a terror on the field in lower tier matches, and gets fantastic matchmaking; great for trolling Tier 1 nubs. It used to be available in the in-game store, but was taken out when the French tree was introduced. It also comes with 350 gold, and 1 day of premium.
I only have 2 of these codes left! First come, first serve! After both are gone, $20 donations are still entirely welcome, but I'll sadly have no more codes left to give!
