With North America released, and new battlelines being drawn, it's time for FURHQ to try her hand at Clan Wars once again! We had a rough time of it before, but for a casual clan like ours, it's to be expected. But, we've grown, changed, and I know some of you are itching for that competitive thrill once again, so we're now forming teams!
Things are going to work quite differently this time, however. Last time we did CW, it was very casual. Whoever showed up with high-tier tanks, could play! Consequently, our attendance was terrible; half the time we barely had a team of 8, let alone a team of 15.
CLAN WARS WILL *NOT* GO AHEAD FOR FURHQ UNTIL ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET!!!
- We will form a set team of 15 players. These 15 players will be expected to show up each week, every week. One day a week is not an unreasonable commitment, and if you can't make it, we don't dislike you, we just need to have members who are consistent and reliable.
If a member cannot make it to a scheduled event, they will be expected to notify FURHQ's CW officer with at least 2 day's notice. If this isn't done, and there's not a reasonable excuse (sickness, family emergency, unavoidable work development, etc.), you will be removed from the team
- Each team member must have either:
When we accepted tiers 7 and 8 beforehand, we were deluding ourselves; the clans we will be facing are frighteningly powerful, and have no issues forming full 15-man tier 10 teams. In order for us to compete, we need our teams at maximum potential
- Each team member MUST be availableSunday Friday nights[/b] (exact time TBD based on how Wargaming splits up the maps). This day MIGHT change if overwhelming majority wants the day to shift.
ATTENTION UK PLAYERS: Unfortunately, the timezones for CW will be tailored towards North American players. This means that, usually, Clan Wars won't start until perhaps midnight, or later, your time. IF SUNDAY IS NOT AN OPTION, PLEASE INFORM LORE IMMEDIATELY. We can rearrange the day to something like Friday, so as not to interfere with any weekday morning plans.
- Each team member must have Teamspeak 3. This is not a new requirement, and should not be an issue for any person in today's computer industry. You do NOT have to have a mic; just the ability to listen to orders. Using the Function keys for radio commands ("Affirmative!" , "Negative!", etc) or in-game chat is sufficient to communicate your own needs.
- Each team member must add Lorethian/the designated CW Commander to Skype or Steam. We need an alternate way to contact you if Tanks goes down for some reason, or if you're around and not on tanks quite yet.
Your post MUST be in the following format EXACTLY. Consider this a test for how well you listen. UNTIL THE FOLLOWING FORMAT IS MET, YOU WILL NOT BE ADDED TO THE ACTIVE ROSTER
Format:
- World of Tanks username
- primary tank (Which one you feel you are the most skilled with, and is most powerful)
- secondary tank (preferrably a different role. For example, if your Primary is a tier 10 heavy, your secondary could be a tier 7 SPG)
Good Example:
- Lorethian
- E-100
- GW Tiger
Bad Example:
- a fopsy fops! :3 (I have no idea who the heck you are)
- M6 (this is not tier 10)
I can also use any tier 8 premiums! (this is not specific, and again, not tier 10)
I don't mean to seem like a dictator, but in order for us to have a serious chance at advancing in CW, we NEED to get serious about this. These clans will NEVER be about CW, but for those of us who WANT to do CW, we need to act like it!
Once the teams are fully formed, we will begin team training! Team training will take place on the day that we plan to have CW. Once I feel we're bonded as a cohesive fighting unit, we'll start our landing. For example: 15-man team is formed. The following Sunday, we hold team training. We do team training INSTEAD OF CLAN WARS for maybe 8 weeks. After lots of hard work, we FINALLY land on week 9!
As people post their tanks, I'll post it to a SEPARATE thread for easy access.
If we have over 15 people signed up, we will place 2 people on as "alternates". We will also discuss transferring people to FURST to fill up their CW Roster
